Regina Torres Thompson

My name is Regina, I am a Mexican, London-based sculptor inspired by the complexities of being human—joy and sorrow, strength and vulnerability. My work reflects these contradictions, drawing from the Sanskrit word kusuma, which means both “to blossom” and “a form of fire.” Each sculpture I create is an exploration of identity, nostalgia, and the emotions we often leave unspoken.

Working with clay is a slow and deliberate process for me, a way to transform intangible feelings into something real and tactile. It’s about finding connections—between material and memory, body and emotion, and the shared experiences that make us human.

My pieces invite you to pause, reflect, and connect with your own sensitivity. They’re not just objects but conversations—about the messy, beautiful, and often contradictory nature of life. Through my art, I hope to create a space for vulnerability, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and others.
